Étlapunk elején nem véletlenül idézzük egy gasztronómiai szakember 1839-ben elhangzott mondatát, hisz az olasz konyha meghatározó alapanyaga a paradicsom. „A zseniális ötlet, hogy a paradicsomot hozzáadják a tésztához és a pizzához, nemcsak a nápolyiak több generációját tette boldoggá, hanem mindenkit, aki szereti és értékeli az olasz konyhát.” Ezért is választottuk 2002-ben a Pomo D’oro nevet, amely ebben a formában aranyalmát, egybe írva pedig paradicsomot jelent.
Az eredetiség nagyon fontos és erre mi is nagy hangsúlyt fektetünk, ezért aztán konyhafőnökünk, Rosario az igazi tradicionális olasz ételek mellett saját receptgyűjteményéből is rengeteg fogást készít. Pizza mesterünk, Tommaso a ropogós vékony tésztájú pizzákat fatüzelésű kemencében süti, így fektetve nagy hangsúlyt a pizzák tradicionális ízének bemutatására.
Híresek a vendégtérben készülő ételek, melyek nem csak látványban lenyűgözőek, de aki egyszer megkóstolta őket, az ízükre is sokáig emlékszik. Törzsvendégeink tudják már, hogy nap mint nap új fogásokkal várjuk vendégeinket, hiszen valami érdekességet, kuriózumot mindig rejt a kínálatunk. Legyenek azok ritkán fellelhető gombák, friss halkülönlegességek vagy akár az évszakhoz igazodó idényzöldségek.

This is at least my third visit over three trips here. Was initially recommended to me by a friend who spent a month or two in Budapest. The food is outstanding consistently and the service is also consistently. Great. Restaurant is actually big and had space for us for a late lunch. I always enjoyed their deli counter which is now moved across the street. They also have a dessert and ice cream store next to that. The deli store has lots of nice Italian specialty foods for purchase. They also have a menu of sandwiches that looks really good but I haven't had any of them yet to say. I always really enjoy coming to eat here. Highest recommendation! We spent about 50 to 60 US dollars each for three course. Lunch with drinks and cappuccinos. Was very fair and good price considering all we ate and drank as well as the outstanding food and service..

Had the pleasure of dining at a remarkable Italian restaurant that left me truly impressed. The starter was beautifully presented. It set the tone for an exceptional dining experience. The main course, pork and goose liver. The pork was tender and flavorful, perfectly complemented by the richness of the goose liver. The culinary expertise on display was evident in every bite. Absolutely wonderful. The restaurant is walking distance to the square at St Stephen’s Basilica, tucked away along a side street. The small amount of outdoor seating gives way to a large dining room with high ceilings and interesting decorations all around. The food was incredible. Massive choice and there were lots of gluten free options for my celiac friend. The service was great, with colleagues keen to know how the food was and whether they could bring anything else. A perfect meal for our final night on holiday in Budapest..

Beautiful interior building details. While it wasn’t busy, some of the staff seemed overly stressed and rushing. The food and ambiance were very good. If you can afford to splurge a little and enjoy authentic Italian cuisine, go here..

Just wow! If you want luxury but authentic style with elegant and creative Italian dishes then this is the place to go. It had a lovely atmosphere, friendly staff, prompt service and wait times for food and the best bit was … we could watch it being made as our seat was next to a large window into the kitchen. Incredible. It’s more of a premium setting not your average Italian pizza and carbonara style expect to pay a little more but it’s worth it! Oh and you need to book a table early you cannot turn up as it’s fully booked most nights. Enjoy :).
